Learn from one another

Let us be focused on peace and mutual learning

We must pursue and share peace if we are going to have it ourselves. We must edify, and be open to being edified, if mutual edification is going to happen. In other words, we live with other people in God's family. He wants us to be responsible for making relationships work in our spiritual family. He reminds us it will require strenuous effort.

Love means sacrifice, effort, and concern for others. 

Let us ask God to forgive us for our impatience and selfishness. Ask God to help us to defeat the bad attitude of competitiveness that we often display in arguments and disagreements with others in our family. Let us ask God to energize us by His Spirit to see areas where we can be a blessing and an encouragement to others.

Romans 14:19   
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

mere modes of observing human ceremonials,

are all foolish, and wise men avoid them. Our business is neither to ask nor answer foolish questions, but to avoid them altogether; and if we observe the apostle's precept (Titus 3:8) to be careful to maintain good works, we shall find ourselves far too much occupied with profitable business to take much interest in unworthy, contentious, and needless strivings.

HIS consolation
        
God is our comforter, sustainer, and Lord. Only his gracious presence and tender blessings can bring relief and comfort to our restless and discouraged souls. So let us turn to him, honestly confessing both our sins and our sorrows. Let us ask him to take our anxiety away and restore to us the passion, the joy, and the confidence of our salvation.

Let us ask God to minister to us through His Holy Spirit. We need His comfort and peace. Let us  ask for His presence and His grace.

Knowledge of God

‘Knowledge of God’  means knowledge that has been revealed directly to our heart by the Spirit of God. It is revelation knowledge .The lack of this kind of knowledge has caused more faith failures than anything else I know. That is because most Christians believe the Word with their minds, but they have not meditated on it enough. If they had, that Word would absolutely revolutionize their lives.
If you need something from God, determine right now that you are going to do. Determine that you are going to meditate the Word until you get a revelation. Keep that Word before you until you receive a revelation of Jesus as your healer or your deliverer or your financier--whatever you need Him to be. Do not settle for a shallow mental understanding of Him. Get a deep revelation and His grace will be multiplied to you!

Finish His work

Do you have grand dreams for God’s glory ?

God’s power is at work in us to do His glorious will and finish His eternal purposes. So let us not set our sights too low and expect too little. Live for His glory and expect to see it at work in our life.

Do not be afraid

How can we be certain in what happens today?
What is our guarantee for tomorrow?
Where do we gather excitement about eternity?
The Lord is our helper! Fear will not be our master because our future, our destiny, our eternity rest in the hands of the eternal Lord. The worst that man can do is to send me home to my Lord.

Focusing on God

Why is it difficult
to fix our Thoughts   on God,
to being aware of God,
to willfully put our Thoughts   on God
to draw our Thoughts   back to Him as often as they wander.

We may enjoy the things around us that spoke of God’s majesty and the beauty that God created. We are also thankful for the opportunity to enjoy time with our loved ones. Yet our Thoughts   are not singularly set on God.

It was not until the way become very difficult that our attention became focused on God. As our focus had narrowed in, no energy was spent on wandering  Thoughts  , but instead God completely filled our mind. God alone was the centre, the point of convergence of all our reflection.

Let us ask God to use times of intense experience to teach me how fully and acutely we can be aware of His presence.

LO V E

God is love. God is also the source of love. He pours love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).

To make our churches, our families, our small groups, and communities more loving, we pray for God to grow the love.

Let us ask God
to  use us to help be an example of love to those around us.
to pour His love into our hearts through His Spirit
to channel that love out of our life to others.
to help the loving spirit in our congregation grow more and more, not just to each
other, but also to those around us who are not part of His Kingdom family.

Prayer

Christians must pray much more frequently to God.

Most churches conduct regular prayer meetings all the days in the year, and we are never be without a special subject for supplication.

 Finding fault with others

So often we can find fault with others, pass judgment on them about some inconsequential matter, but then never deal with the unashamed sin in our own life. Let us remember that we will answer to God for what we do every bit as much as someone we are wrongly passing judgment upon.
   
Please be reminded

whose job it is to judge these sorts of matters.
that the person we are judging actually belongs to the Lord and what right do we have to pass judgment on that person.

Let us ask God to forgive us. Let us confess that we have wrongly passed judgment on others when we had no right or authority to do so..

Romans 14:4   
Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Are you under pressure these days ?

Satan is putting more pressure on us mentally, financially, emotionally and every other way he can.

Praise God, Jesus says we can give our way right out from under any pressure the devil brings to bear.

When Satan puts you under pressure, go to Jesus and let Him tell you how and where to release you from the pressure the devil has been putting on you.

 Waiting


Sometimes when God's answer seems to take too long I find myself  beginning to lose heart. My trust in God may even waver.  

And then God speaks.  His Word touches my heart and He tells me what  to do.  He tells me how to wait.

Are you waiting for God's intervention or His answer?  

Change your waiting.   Stop waiting for the answer, trust God with the timing, and start waiting on God to strengthen you to do what He has set in your path Jul2012.  Days, weeks, even months and years can be wasted if we put our focus on the waiting and not on our God.

Wait on the Lord.   Be of good courage and He shall strengthen your  heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord

The one thing you are truly responsible for is your union with Him. If  you keep your union and fellowship with Him intact, everything else  will be taken care of.

 Looking for love, joy and peace ?

The Holy Spirit has pure spiritual power. Love is so powerful, the scripture says, that it never fails. Patience is so powerful it cannot be stopped. No matter what the circumstances, it will not quit. Self-control is so powerful it can master all the uncontrollable desires of your flesh.
The fruits of the Spirit are strong. So strong that if you will let them flow out of you, they will correct the problems in your life. They will keep you steadfast when all the people around you are falling down. They will keep you on your feet in all circumstances and situations.

 I am not weak

Jesus gave all Christians  the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; Titus 3:3-7). The Spirit lives in us, making our bodies a Temple (1 Cor. 6:19-20) and blessing us in many ways (Romans 8).

We can be courageous people even in the face of attack, criticism, and ridicule because of the Spirit's presence. The fruit that the Spirit produces (Gal. 5:22-23) and the love that the Spirit pours into our heart (Rom. 5:5) do not make us weak. Instead, the Spirit's presence is a powerful force to help us overcome sin (Rom. 8:13) and live self-disciplined lives.

After sanctification it is difficult to state what your aim in life is. If you seek great things for yourself, you are putting a barrier to God’s use of you. As long as you have a personal interest  or ambition, you cannot get through into identification with God’s interest. You will need to lose any idea of yourself and let God take you right out into His purpose for the world. Unless your goings are of the Lord, you can never understand your ways. This is because God has taken you up into His purpose ; He is using you now for His purposes throughout the world as He used His Son for the purpose of our salvation.

 Do not do evil deeds

God hates violence and demands that we not admire those who are violent or share in their violent lifestyle. (Proverbs. 3:31) God abhors those who do evil. God not only opposes them when they are alive, he also mitigates their influence after they are gone. He helps them be seen for what they really are. Far from being viewed as heroes, their legacy of hate and wickedness is spurned, shunned, scandalized, and forgotten.

 Be forgiving

Somebody has done you wrong.  It happens to all of us.  Somewhere along the way, we all get hurt or cheated or lied to or  abused. It's as predictable as it is painful. Yet when it happens most  of us find ourselves strangely unprepared. In our outrage, we often  cry out to God against the one who wronged us. We ask for justice,  or even vengeance, and end up making things tougher on everyone  involved--including ourselves.

Crying out for the vengeance of God when somebody does us wrong is not acting like our Father. Remember  God has great, great mercy. Not just for me and you, but for everyone! Next time someone causes you pain, put the power of love to work  for you.

Luke 10:19
"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,  and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means  hurt you."

So few hear the cry of the poor or respond to the troubles of the underprivileged. If we are going to be true children of God, His values must become our own, His lost sheep must become our search.
