Be humble
To be humble is not to think of yourself at all !! Not many of us would qualify as being truly humble but it is a goal toward which we should all strive. We can only make real progress toward God in our lives unless we are humble.
2 Chronicles 7 : 14
.. if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Even before we pray, before we seek His face, before we turn from our wicked ways, we must humble ourselves. It is because we are in no position to meet any of these other three criteria without first humbling ourselves.
James 4 : 6
But He gives us more and more strength to stand against all such evil longings. As the Scripture says, God gives strength to the humble, but sets Himself against the proud and haughty
