Regrets
Most of us have regrets about something we have done in the past, which has hurt others or even ourselves. We carry a lot of emotional and spiritual baggage around with us. These baggage may later surface as either anxiety or depression. When we try to carry our regrets on our own, we trouble our hearts and tired out our souls. That is when we need help. That is when we need a Counsellor. That is when we need a Saviour.
According to Scripture, Jesus was tempted in every way possible, which means that He perfectly understands the dilemmas we face throughout our lives. And although He did not give in to temptation, He knows our weaknesses, so He can remedy our regrets by forgiving our past mistakes, even those personal events that we cannot seem to forgive ourselves for.
Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are -- yet was without sin.
