Looking in all the wrong places
God, help us to keep our eyes fixed and our hearts focused on You, so that we are not so easily influenced by the things of this world. Help us not to forget that we are here for a short time and that everything we have and know here on earth will remain here when we are gone. Keep us walking ever upward to our eternal home.
1 Corinthians 1:27-28
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things -- and the things that are not -- to nullify the things that are.
