Life is not all as we plan. Sometimes, just when we think we have life all figured out, we are led into a crisis. God, help us to maintain our strength by taking time to rest and restore our soul, that we might be ready when we are called upon to do Your will. God, give us strength to endure, rest to renew, and determination to carry on in the Spirit You have given to us.

You say, "I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing." But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.

Secured foothold
We ask God not to allow us to slip nor to envy nor to fall. When we do, we ask God to remind us that we need only to seek Him for answers.
