We are easily dawdled or cast our gaze elsewhere and, distracted by the warmth or discomforts, gone astray. Let us ask God to guide and encourage our footsteps along the narrow road so that we will be no longer side-tracked by worldly attractions.

Stay focused
In this world there are so many things that might appear worth seeking. God alone, however, is the only One worthy of our attention. God, please keep us focused.

God teach us to stay focused, not letting the attention of others cloud our concentration, and know that You are with us every step of the way.

In life, there are temptations that sneak up on us, promising to give to our hearts’ desire. We are thankful that God has given His commandments to guide us in our lives’ dives and leaps. God, help us to incline our hearts to Your will and fill us with your understanding so that we can stay out of sin’s grasp.

Be compassionate
God is always with us, giving us support and testimony of His great love for this world. God helps us to walk in obedience and compassion in all that we do everyday of our lives. In any situation, we react with a prayer, or a kind word or a help hand. All these is made possible because God is always with us.

We see only the immediate circumstances. Often all we see is ourselves. God forgive us, we pray. We know Your Word is true. God, we are depending on You to give our life back with bonus and blessing when we give of ourselves.
Luke 6:38
Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back -- given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.

God we are determined to stand fast in our daily battles. Please fill us with Your strength as we seek to be faithful to You and live our lives with integrity. We put our trust in You, and we find comfort in the knowledge that You will not leave our side.

Interact with others
When we are hurting or weighed down, we do not want to be around people. We want to isolate ourselves. God wants us to be with people. We need others to help us along in the hard spots in life, to encourage us, to help us to reach out to others among whom we can begin to heal.

Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God's approval.
