The amber traffic light 0670 10VIII2008

The amber light is a warning for us. It is the time between go and stop.

Does God represent the amber light in our lives? Yes, He is the one who stands before us to warn us as we go through our lives. He stands as a beacon: Don't go too fast; be prepared to see the warning before the stoplight turns red.

We must not try to run God's red lights. "Wait for the Lord."

In running a red light, one can put oneself and others in a position of injury. Regarding God as the amber light in our lives, we do well to remember Deuteronomy 6:16, "Do not test the Lord your God." We must never put God to the test or try to make any deals with Him. He is sovereign and in full authority.

How often do we use or not use God as our warning signal?
God has given to each of us the way in which to live our lives; the rules are all set up in the book of life, our Bible. We must be ready to take caution in how we tread through our lives, and always be on the watch for the signal to stop.

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
