Have you been in such situations when you had taken everything you had been told "at face value". You took everyone you had listened to "at face value", accepting everything being said as true. Upon looking at it from another side, you realized you were "short-changing" the situation. The whole truth was not being told because what you had accepted at "face value" was only several people's truth, but not everyone's.
Take this example. A US$1.00 is good at face value in the United States. It can buy you any thing in the store that is marked as $1.00. However, bring the US$1.00 to China, with a different monetary system, the face value changes. Likewise, bring the US$1 to Canada, again you have a different face value.
Now you know that there are always at least two sides to every story. But you must know that there is something we can take at "face value". God's love and understanding. His forgiveness and faithfulness. Always and forever.
2 Peter 3 : 17,18
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware, lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
