We need prayer to make changes. Very often we feel unsure about our appeals to the Lord.
We must realize that we belong to God’s family (John 1 : 12). Based on this, we can be absolutely sure HE will hear our prayers (Matthew 6 : 6).
We must pray according to God’s will. There are lists of things which are in God’s will and those that are not in God’s will, (Proverbs 6 : 16-19 ; Colossians 3 : 8).
We must submit our spirit to God, (James 4 : 7) We must surrender ourselves totally to HIM and be willing to accept HIS plan.
God’s general will is revealed through commands and principles, (2 Timothy 3 : 16-17)
We must depend on the Holy Spirit to help us pray in agreement with the God’s purposes.
1 John 5:14-15
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us— whatever we ask— we know that we have what we asked of him.
