In Matthew 14 : 22-33 we were told that Peter walked on water. Peter had no trouble walking on the water until he took his eyes off Jesus. As long as his total focus was on Christ, he was fine. When he allowed himself to be distracted by human fears, he fell !
When doubts prevent us from obeying God, we will fail. When we step out in faith, God always assumes full responsibility for the consequences of our obedience.
Remember we fail because we do not obey

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone
