You may often come across familiar stories of how a devout Christian had made a mess of his life. He would have studied and obeyed God’s Word faithfully. As the years went by, he became very busy and took less and less time for God’s Word. So when he was tempted, he had no strength to resist. Now his life disintegrated and he thought of killing himself.
This story reminds us to have a daily practice of spending time alone with God - studying, reading, memorizing and meditating on His Word, and spending time with Him in prayer. The spiritual food of God's Word is absolutely essential for victorious, supernatural living.
Let us ask God to guide us to set aside time each day to read the Bible and pray and wait upon Him for His leading and maturing in our life.
