Is it right to take revenge ??



Very often we come to a situation when we wanted to retaliate and return a little of the misery we suffered. As we planned our well-aimed words, sometime the feeling of uneasiness settles over our spirit. Why ? as a Christian, we knew that the things we wanted to say and even felt that we deserved to say, would not represent our Lord very well. We are put in a contradictory position, wanting to get back at this person who seemed to look for ways to irritate you.

When faced with such a situation, just reach for the Bible, read and let the Holy Spirit be your guide.

God’s Word will tell you to be fair, kind and stay connected to God. Taking that opportunity to return unkindness with more unkindness would break your connection with God.

The Holy Spirit is the guide who touches our heart when we are prone to get off God's track. Pay attention to the stirrings of your soul. It may well be God's Spirit nudging you to be fair... and kind... and to keep your relationship with God guarded. Your relationship with God is the single, most important factor in your life!

Let us ask God to give His Holy Spirit to jolt our hearts in the right direction. Ask Him to tune our heart to hear His leading when we are prone to lash out and take matters into my own hands. Let us acknowledge that only God, alone can help us to be the person we need to be. Ask God to help us today to be fair and kind in our dealings with those around us. Ask God to help us to stay connected to Him with a willing and humble heart.
