Do not be discouraged

Today you may be facing trouble that has being caused by people who have wilfully plotted to do you harm. Do not be discouraged !! When you make God your stronghold in the time of trouble, no one can defeat you. No matter how powerful they are in the natural, the odds are in your favour because you trust in the Lord. They may think they have got an edge over you, but God is on your side and that gives you the advantage!

Love God


Let us recognize our strength and thank God for His abundant mercy and power lavished on us through the Holy Spirit. Let us also recognize that God preserves us, honours faithfulness and blesses us. Let us be assured that He will deal justly with those who mock and abuse us. Let us ask God to give us strength, when we find ourselves in trying times with enemies at our door and opponents on every side. to give us wisdom to see your grace that leads me. to give us courage to stand up for what is right, pure, and holy. to give us vision to see the things He wants to use us to do for His glory. to keep our hope passionately alive as we wait for His work in us to be accomplished.

He is there in times of trial Let us thank God for his steadying influence in our lives. Let us thank Him for lifting us when we have been down, protecting us when we have been vulnerable and comforting us when we have been broken.Let us praise God for His grace, His glory and His closeness.

Be persistent


What do you do when you become exhausted in prayer, desperate of ever seeing God answer?
Do you give up?
Write God off as being deaf, uncaring, or not true to His Word?

Do not quit. Do not lose hope. In Luke 11:1 - 13 Jesus tells us to persist until we see the answer. We are to keep on asking until it's given to us. We're to keep on seeking until we find it. We are to keep on knocking until the door is opened. Ask, seek, and knock are all present tense verbs here in the original Greek, which means that they speak of continuous or habitual action. Therefore, if we believe Jesus means what He says, we'll do what He tells us to do.

One of the major keys to answered prayer is persistence. . . .

Bear in mind that God’s ways is not our ways. If there is a delay in the answer, you can be sure it is because God has a purpose.

Mercy and grace


Prayer is a vital, integral part of my life.
One of the most powerful, exciting and fulfilling privileges God has given to me is that of prayer based on the authority of God's Word.

Man instinctively prays in any sticky or happy situation. Whenever we are faced with tragedy, heartache, sorrow or danger, we pray.

I realize that I can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive mercy, cleansing, forgiveness and help for my every need, challenge and opportunity - from Jesus Himself. I will spend more time in His presence and not be satisfied with an impotent, fruitless life.

Hebrews 4 : 16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

God is good




God is always good. HE is filled with goodness and HE will never run out of goodness.

HE gave us ears to hear - the birds singing, children laughing, and choirs singing. "The earth is full of the goodness of God." (Psalm 33:5)

He has given us the ability to taste and enjoy food - fruit, vegetables, meat, bread etc. "The tender mercies of the Lord are over all His works." (Psalm 145:9)

Changed !!

Can we take any credit for the change in us ? The Bible teaches us that salvation is a free gift from God. But God gives us so much more than an assurance of heaven. We receive spiritual gifts that we can use to serve him in this world; and over time, he miraculously changes our heart – the way we look at and respond to life situations. The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5 : 17 taught talked about these changes when he wrote to the church at Corinth: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation”. Friends, God has given you to free yourselves from the stress that comes with unforgiveness, conflict, or whatever the excuse may be. Allow God to guide you so that you can enjoy the days in ways that you never imagined you could. Remember what Jesus told His disciples, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

The way we live our lives

This is the way Christians should live their lives ! We have to show our love and character in our daily lives. We have to especially work together, with one voice and spirit, making a determined effort to share the Gospel In the face of opposition, we must not be deterred or divided. Instead, we must work hand-in-hand for the cause of the Gospel. Let us ask God to give us greater unity of purpose, greater love for each other, and greater courage in the face of opposition so that we can show the world that we are HIS children and Jesus' disciples. .

The reward of the destitute



We have to realize that we cannot earn or win anything from God; we must either receive it as a gift or do without it. The greatest blessing spiritually is the knowledge that we are destitute. He can do nothing for us if we think we are sufficient of ourselves, we have to enter into His Kingdom through the door of destitution. As long as we are rich, possessed of anything in the way of pride or independence, God cannot do anything for us. It is only when we get hungry spiritually that we receive the Holy Spirit. The gift of the essential nature of God is made effectual in us by the Holy Spirit.

The sound mind principle


It is about God’s will for our lives.

It refers to the manner in which we seek the work God wanted us to do as well as the organization and manner in which we are to serve God. This refers to the mindset which is under the control of the Holy Spirit. It involves the practice of determining God's wisdom and direction through use of our mind filled with God's Word, instead of relying only on emotional impressions. Though God often leads us through impressions, He generally expects us to use our "sound minds."

When you have an important decision to make, list all the positive and negative factors and consider them against what God's Word has to say about the matter - directly or indirectly. Make your decision on the basis of what seems obvious, unless God specifically leads you to the contrary.

Others with little or no formal education comprehend its truths and are transformed in the process.

Why ? it is because they walk with God in humility and in the fullness and control of the Holy Spirit.

Let us ask God to guide and teach us to become familiar with HIS Word, and be obedient to its teachings, that our life will reflect its teachings. Let us ask God to help us to encourage others to join us in this great adventure of getting to know God and His holy, inspired Word

Is it right to take revenge ??



Very often we come to a situation when we wanted to retaliate and return a little of the misery we suffered. As we planned our well-aimed words, sometime the feeling of uneasiness settles over our spirit. Why ? as a Christian, we knew that the things we wanted to say and even felt that we deserved to say, would not represent our Lord very well. We are put in a contradictory position, wanting to get back at this person who seemed to look for ways to irritate you.

When faced with such a situation, just reach for the Bible, read and let the Holy Spirit be your guide.

God’s Word will tell you to be fair, kind and stay connected to God. Taking that opportunity to return unkindness with more unkindness would break your connection with God.

The Holy Spirit is the guide who touches our heart when we are prone to get off God's track. Pay attention to the stirrings of your soul. It may well be God's Spirit nudging you to be fair... and kind... and to keep your relationship with God guarded. Your relationship with God is the single, most important factor in your life!

Let us ask God to give His Holy Spirit to jolt our hearts in the right direction. Ask Him to tune our heart to hear His leading when we are prone to lash out and take matters into my own hands. Let us acknowledge that only God, alone can help us to be the person we need to be. Ask God to help us today to be fair and kind in our dealings with those around us. Ask God to help us to stay connected to Him with a willing and humble heart.

No more fears



Is there fear in your life over which you do not have victory?
How do you overcome that fear ??

Whether it is great or small, you can gain victory over that fear through claiming, by faith, God's supernatural love for yourself and for others, for "perfect love casts out fear."

That promise makes it very important that you to claim God's supernatural love described in 1 Corinthians 13,
love for God,
love for our neighbors,
love for ourselves and
love for our enemies
love for all men.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

If fear does not come from God, then we must reject that spirit of fear as coming from the enemy of men's souls.

Faith is the most effective foe of fear, and "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

We must recognize any kind of fear in our life for what it is - an attempt of the enemy to sabotage our effectiveness as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Whatever you do



Christians are under grace. We are free to do whatever we want to do, knowing that we have already found favour in God’s sight through Christ’s death on the cross. We should place more emphasis on the importance of grace and faith.

We must obey. This is very important. In John 14 : 21 Jesus emphasized that
" Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”

Since the life of the Christian is a life of good works, we will demonstrate our faith by our good works, for faith without works is dead. We will share this truth with someone who is living in the bondage of legalism.

To keep you from sin



You may often come across familiar stories of how a devout Christian had made a mess of his life. He would have studied and obeyed God’s Word faithfully. As the years went by, he became very busy and took less and less time for God’s Word. So when he was tempted, he had no strength to resist. Now his life disintegrated and he thought of killing himself.
This story reminds us to have a daily practice of spending time alone with God - studying, reading, memorizing and meditating on His Word, and spending time with Him in prayer. The spiritual food of God's Word is absolutely essential for victorious, supernatural living.
Let us ask God to guide us to set aside time each day to read the Bible and pray and wait upon Him for His leading and maturing in our life.

How can a young man stay pure? By reading Your Word and following its rules. I have tried my best to find You - don't let me wander off from Your instructions. I have thought much about Your words, and stored them in my heart so that they would hold me back from sin

HE will tell you



Major conflicts in life are resolved when, by an act of the will, one surrenders to the control of the Holy Spirit and faces temptation in His power.
We are tempted when we do something against God’s will. Everyone can be tempted.
Temptation becomes sin when we think on the feeling or idea and develop a strong desire, which is often followed by the actual act of disobedience.

In our daily lives, we can easily identify our weakness whenever we are tempted and obey the Holy Spirit's instructions. When we resist temptation, we breathe spiritually and resume our walk with God. When we stop to believe God’s promise that He will enable us to be victorious over all temptations, we become carnal again. The moment you realize that you have done that which saddens or quenches the Spirit, you simply confess immediately and by faith claim God’s forgiveness and continue to walk in the light.

I advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit's instructions. He will tell you where to go and what to do, and then you won't always be doing the wrong things your evil nature wants you to

Cleansing from sin

Do you have difficulty in communicating with God ?
Are you weighted down with problems and concerns that robbed you of your joy, your radiance and even your physical strength ?
It is quite likely that you have allowed sin to short-circuit your relationship with God. The mighty overflow of His power has been cut off, and you are no longer walking in the light as God is in the light.

King David knew that experience because he had disobeyed God and, as recorded in Psalm 32, would not admit that he had sinned. As a result, his dishonesty made him miserable and filled his days with frustration.
Do not waste any more time. Try to make a list of everything you know is wrong in your life, as the Holy Spirit directs you, and confess your sins to God. As you make your list, claim the promise of 1 John 1:9. Acknowledge that
what you are doing is wrong.
Christ's death on the cross paid the penalty for your sins.

Road to faith


Seek to know the Lord with all your heart. While you may have no difficulty in worshiping the omnipotent God, you cannot really know God unless you study His Word. The one who spoke and caused the worlds to be framed is waiting to reveal Himself to you personally.
Martin Luther admonishes us:
"Search the Bible as a whole, shaking the whole tree. Read it rapidly, as you would any book. Then shake every limb - study book after book.
"Then shake every branch, giving attention to the chapters when they do not break the sense. Then shake each twig, by careful study of the paragraphs and sentences. And you will be rewarded if you will look under each leaf, by searching the meaning of the words."
Faith is not given to those who are either undisciplined or disobedient. Faith is a gift of God which is given to those who trust and obey Him. As we master His Word and obey His commands, our faith continues to grow.
Let us ask God to guide us to read, study, memorize and meditate upon His Word daily, knowing that in the process our faith will grow, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

Jesus’ disciples were so convinced of the urgency of passing on to others the message of God's love and forgiveness through Christ that they, and many thousands like them - though they died as martyrs - did not give up their efforts to get the message to us.

When Christ said, 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel,' He did not mean only preachers but everyone who believed in Him Let us publicly acknowledge our love for Christ, and through the enabling of the Holy Spirit we will live today so that others will want what we have, and we will speak so that they will know what we have.

Protected from Satan



Why does the ordinary Christian have a tough time living the Christian life ?

It is because the ordinary Christian does not understand that the battle has already been won. Two thousand years ago Satan was defeated at the cross. He has no control over us except that which God allows and which we by our disobedience and unbelief enable Him to have. We have the victory and nothing can touch us or harm us whether we are criticized, persecuted or even martyred for the sake of the kingdom, for we are not of this world. We belong to Christ. While here on this earth, Christ will envelop us and surround us with His supernatural peace and power, turning tragedy to triumph, heartache and sorrow to joy. This is our heritage if only we keep on trusting and obeying Him.
Let us remember that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord, our older brother and He will protect us against satanic attacks of every kind.

Remove that mountain



We all have mountains in our lives from time to time. Just like there are mountains of rock and mountains of ice, our mountains consist of different things – our problems, our attitudes, our stubbornness,………

Sometimes God responds to our faith and He removes our mountain immediately. But other times it is like the iceberg. It seems to cast a shadow on our lives for too long and we fear it may never go.

We must have faith in God, believing in God's power. He will do the casting into the sea in His time. He is the mountain mover and as we ask Him for a tenacity of faith to believe, He will work! Trust God and His power.

Let us ask God to give us a tenacity of faith to believe. Ask God to give us confidence in His power to work in His time.

Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him"
