We were dead because of the misdeeds and sins in which we walked, following the course of this world, following the commander-in-chief of evil, the spirit that now energizes all who disobey.
Among these lost people - we once lived in the passions of our flesh. We followed the desires of our body and the passing whims of our mind. We were by nature doers of evil doomed to destruction, like the rest of mankind.
It is by God’s undeserved kindness that we are saved!
